Favoured by artists and attendees alike, the Moat is a festival stage like none other.
Venture into the depths of the Moat with its 80ft towering walls and you’ll be engulfed in sound.
Electronic-focused selections and powerful percussive rollers are on the menu here from 9pm-6am. As we look forward to another year of programming in this space, we’re reflecting on our last year in the Moat.
Moat Highlights 2018
In 2018, the Moat hosted takeovers by Nina Kraviz’s label, Trip Records, and by Zeezout and Hessle Audio.
Trip Records opened the Moat in 2018, with Imogen, Bjarki, K-HAND, a live set from Volruptus and label head honcho, Nina Kravis.
Listen back to Imogen kick off the The Moat in spectacular fashion here:
Saturday saw Dimensions’ very own Soundsystem take to the Moat, following Massimo Mephisto, and warming up for a formidable trio: Anastasia Kristensen, then Paula Temple, and Umfang to close.
Umfang’s set was well complimented by the all-encompassing Moat, delivering a powerful 2 hour set:
Friday night was hosted byZeezout, along with Helena Hauff, Detroit in Effect, a live set from The Exhaltics, Courtesy and Daan Doonk.
Having performed a standout live set earlier in the day for Resident Advisor’s underground tunnel parties in Pula city-centre, The Exhaltics delivered once again in the Moat.
Finally on Sunday, the Hessle Audio crew followed leading a boat party on the Adriatic, by a Moat takeover. A family affair: with Ben UFO, Pangaea, Pearson Sound each playing, they also invited Ploy and Jlin to open.
Ploy really set the scene for one last night of music at the Moat. Listen back as he explores all manner of sounds and tempos:
As we undergo preparations for Dimensions 2019, we’re excited to deliver more memorable nights in the inimitable Moat.
Keep a lookout for Dimensions 2019 line-up announcements, dropping at the end of January…
